Domain, Registration and Renewal Policy

1. Introduction

This Domain Registration, Renewal and Transfer Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing the registration, renewal, transfer, and management of domain names purchased through Webmagic. By registering or managing a domain with us, clients agree to comply with this policy and all applicable regulations set by ICANN and relevant domain registries.

2. Domain Registration

2.1 Availability

All domain registrations are processed on a first?come, first?served basis. Webmagic cannot guarantee the availability of a domain name until payment is completed and the registry confirms the registration.

2.2 Accuracy of Information

Clients must provide accurate and up?to?date contact information during registration, including:

  1. Full name or business name
  2. Physical address
  3. Email address
  4. Phone number

Incorrect or outdated information may result in suspension or loss of the domain by the registry.

2.3 Non Refundable Service

Domain registration fees are non?refundable, even if:

  1. The client changes their mind
  2. The domain was registered by mistake
  3. The domain is no longer needed

This is due to strict registry rules.

3. Domain Renewal

3.1 Renewal Responsibility

Clients are fully responsible for renewing their domains before the expiration date. Webmagic sends automated renewal reminders, but the final responsibility lies with the domain owner.

3.2 Renewal Notices

Webmagic will send renewal reminders via email:

  1. 30 days before expiry
  2. 14 days before expiry
  3. 7 days before expiry
  4. 1 day before expiry

However, we cannot guarantee the delivery of renewal notices if the client’s email address is inactive, full, incorrectly provided, or otherwise unable to receive messages. We also cannot guarantee delivery of these notices if our servers or notification systems experience technical issues. For this reason, clients are solely responsible for tracking and remembering their domain renewal dates to avoid losing their domain to third parties or competitors.

4. Domain Renewal Grace Period

After a domain expires, most domain extensions enter a Grace Period, during which the domain owner can still renew the domain at the standard renewal price.

Key points:

  1. The grace period typically lasts 0–30 days, depending on the domain extension and registry rules
  2. During this period, the domain may stop resolving (website and email may go offline)
  3. Ownership is still recoverable without penalty
  4. If the grace period ends without renewal, the domain may enter the Redemption Grace Period (RGP), which includes additional recovery fees

Webmagic follows the grace?period rules set by each registry. Clients are encouraged to renew domains before expiry to avoid service interruptions.

5. Redemption Period

If the domain is not renewed during the grace period, it may enter a Redemption Grace Period (RGP). During this time:

  1. The domain can still be recovered
  2. A redemption fee (set by the registry) will apply
  3. Recovery is not guaranteed

If the redemption period ends, the domain may be permanently deleted and become available for public registration.

6. Domain Transfers

6.1 Transfer Eligibility

Domains can be transferred to or from Webmagic if:

  1. The domain is more than 60 days old
  2. The domain is not within 60 days of a previous transfer
  3. The domain is not expired or in redemption

6.2 Transfer Requirements

To transfer a domain, clients must:

  1. Unlock the domain
  2. Obtain the EPP/Auth code
  3. Ensure WHOIS information is accurate
  4. Approve transfer emails sent by the registry

6.3 Transfer Fees

Transfer fees vary by domain extension and include a one?year renewal as required by most registries.

7. Domain Ownership

The individual or business listed as the Registrant in WHOIS records is considered the legal owner of the domain. Webmagic is not responsible for disputes arising from incorrect ownership details.

8. Suspension or Cancellation

Webmagic reserves the right to suspend or cancel a domain if:

  1. The domain is used for illegal activities
  2. The client violates ICANN policies
  3. Fraudulent or false registration information is detected
  4. Payment for renewal or registration fails

9. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  1. Keeping contact information updated
  2. Monitoring renewal dates
  3. Ensuring timely payments
  4. Maintaining access to their email accounts
  5. Complying with registry and ICANN rules

10. Limitation of Liability

Webmagic is not liable for:

  1. Loss of domain due to late renewal
  2. Failure to receive renewal reminders
  3. Registry errors or delays
  4. Domain disputes or ownership conflicts

Clients are encouraged to renew domains early to avoid accidental loss.

11. Acceptance of Policy

By registering, renewing, or transferring a domain through Webmagic, clients acknowledge and agree to this Domain Registration, Renewal and Transfer Policy.
